Golf Australia has launched a new suite of programs through the MyGolf Schools offering – Mini Golf, Pitch & Putt and Swing It. These programs have all been designed with teachers in mind, providing simple and accessible curriculum, resources and equipment kits to be able to easily and safely deliver either a single skill or all golf skills at school, in a wide range of spaces. The MyGolf School’s program is aligned to the ACARA curriculum with endorsement from ACHPER Victoria.
The course will cover the following key learning areas;
- The structure and philosophy of National Golf Programs
- Curriculum alignment and assessment strategy of the program
- The essential components of golf tactics, equipment and the golf swing
- How to prepare and deliver junior beginner golf sessions to groups
- Inclusive coaching techniques for diverse learners
- Best safety practices while delivering beginner golf sessions
GeckoSports Coach Requirements
To be an accredited MyGolf coach for school programs, you must hold a MyGolf Schools Deliverer accreditation.
