Baseball Australia has two different program options available to schools under the Sporting Schools program.
Baseball5
Baseball5, is a new faster, urban version of the game of Baseball. Only requiring a ball to play, Baseball5 allows students to explore the four fundamental skills of throwing, catching, running and striking in an easy to learn environment. Utilising the game sense approach, each session will teach a skill through mini games and play a Baseball5 game. Requiring no dedicated venue or infrastructure, Baseball5 can be played everywhere within your school and is accessible to all.
Aussie T-Ball
Aussie T-Ball is a modified version of baseball designed to introduce students of all abilities to the game. It teaches the four fundamental skills of baseball – throwing, catching, running and striking – in a safe, fun, non-contact environment. The modified versions of the game ensure students have greater game involvement that builds social, mental and physical development.
GeckoSports Coach Requirements
To be an accredited Baseball5 coach for school programs, you must hold a B5 – Level A – General Accreditation for your state.
To be an accredited Aussie T-Ball coach for school programs, you must hold a Level A – General Accreditation for your state.
